Task 1-Completing the exercises in the Module

Individually, source for relevant  materials to complete the following exercises in the modules:

·         Topic 2—Text 1 and Text 2 (pages 3-4)

·         Topic 3—Exercises 1-3 (pages 4-6)

·         Topic 4—Exercises 1-2 (pages 10-11)

·         Topic 7—Exercise 1 (page 28) and Practice (page 30)

The answers to the exercises will be discussed during the academic interaction with your lecturers.

Explanation: This activity is to enable learners to be responsible of their own learning.  It is good for the PPG students to sit and discuss the exercises in the module

Source and select 5 relevant reading materials on current issues.

Select ONE article of your choice (e.g. Drug Abuse, Sex Education).

Sources may include newspapers, magazines, books and internet websites.  

Task 3—Writing

Read an article of your choice (e.g Drug Abuse, Sex Education )

Sources may include newspaper, magazines, books and internet websites. 

In groups of four, write an essay on the issue you have selected in about 250 words.

The written assignment should consist of your essay and printed/photocopied articles you have selected.
